Finaus Journey With Lipoedema

I want to firstly thank you for coming to this page and trying to understand a little bit more about my situation with Lipoedema, which I’d love to share below, and if there is a chance you could help out or even if you aren’t able, it’s very much appreciated to just have your support by trying to understand my situation. I share a lot of my life with you all, and quite a lot of you have even formed a lot of great relationships with me and my family, proving that social media is a way to share our journeys, so I am hoping I can share this new chapter with you all, and hopefully raise the funds to start my journey towards healing my chronic pain.

As most of you are aware, as of last week of July 2021, I have now been diagnosed with Stage 3/early Stage 4 Lipoedema in most areas of my body, but am focused on my lower half to begin with as the pain I have been feeling more and more is becoming unbearable. Having this disease has been a suspicion of mine for a long time now, to have felt a different type of pain and not being able to get the right medication or type of help specifically for this has also affected my mental health, along with my physical health.

MY REASON WHY: My reason to request your assistance for my situation is that knowing what I have now, is also knowing there is a solution for my pain - and in that are a lot of costs involved-

- Specialised Surgery: $13,000 Per Area (eg, buttock, thigh, etc)

- MLD MASSAGES: 2-4 a month $120 per 55min treatment

- Compression: 500-800 per area

There are so many things to factor into this journey and a lot of expenses which there are no Medicare or private health options to help for this disease & my goal is to cure my pain and eventually live without being dependent on my compression garments and manual lymphatic drainage, this will mean I get to regain freedom both physically and mentally and enjoy life with my family.
