Find a cure for Cholangiocarcinoma

Lilly was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma in September of 2019. Since then, she has been an absolute warrior fighting it with everything she has. Lilly is the strongest, sweetest and most amazing person I have ever met. This cancer has permanently changed our lives and has for so many other families.  I'm raising money to benefit Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. More information about Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation: Founded in 2006, the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF) is the only non-profit in North America dedicated to finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those affected by bile duct cancer. More than 5,000 people are diagnosed with this hard-to-detect, difficult-to-treat, fatal type of cancer in the United States each year, and incidence is sharply increasing. Despite treatment, most people diagnosed with advanced bile duct cancer have less than a 10 percent chance of surviving five years.

Lilly passed in February of 2021.

Since then, I've been doing a lot of soul searching. Life has been beyond difficult without her around, to say the least. She was everything to me, my whole world. Every day I wake up, every time I go to sleep...I find myself asking the same questions- why her? why me? what could she have possibly done to deserve this? she was so young, healthy, amazing, beautiful and pure...WHY?! I don't think I will ever understand Lilly's passing. The pain runs as deep as my love for her. Cancer will continue to take innocent lives and leave loved ones left behind devastated. However, I still have plenty of fight left in me and a new perspective on life. As deeply wounded as I am, I refuse to go down without a fight. In light of this tragedy, I have made the decision to dedicate my fighting career in honor of Lilly.

I recently made my return on 12/4/21 and secured a victory after taking time away from the sport to support Lilly in her cancer battle. Moving forward I will do everything in my power to fight for a cure. I will continue to fight for those who no longer can.

I hope I am making you proud Lilly. I love you and miss you so so so much, always and forever.
