Find Feeding GA Families A Home Capital Campaign

Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference throughout Georgia?

We're raising money to benefit Feeding GA Families' Capital Campaign to find a new home to serve the increasing number of families needing essential assistance for food, housing, and basic needs.

We're currently operating out of 5000 sqft, and we are BURSTING at the seams. To process food and resources more efficiently and serve more families, we must move into a larger space.

Any donation will help make an impact. But a donation here will help to serve over 239.000 individuals each year. The increased space will allow us to DOUBLE the assistance we provide each year. It will also help us to create individualized food and assistance programming to better suit the individual needs of each family we serve.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means so much to us and the families we serve.

Campaign to Feed the Future

The Need and The Opportunity

In Fulton County, 1 out of every 8 residents is food insecure. For children, the number is 1 out of 7. Astoundingly, these most recent data available are from 2019, BEFORE the coronavirus pandemic created an even more severe challenge for households already experiencing food insecurity and drove many to seek food assistance for the first time.

Since our founding in 2010, Feeding GA Families (FGF) has grown exponentially to meet this need, but we currently find ourselves at a tipping point. There is far greater need than FGF, and the food assistance ecosystem we are part of can address at our current capacity. There is also an immense amount of food wasted in our community, and companies willing to donate this food to FGF. We conservatively estimate that there is a need for at least four times our current service level and that there is excess food to meet that entire need. The problem? We have outgrown the capacity of our current facility, meaning that people go hungry as food is wasted simply because we lack the space to connect them.

Now, after 12 years of making the most of rented space that has long been too small for our mission, it is time for Feeding GA Families to move to a new home with room for us to quadruple our flagship food assistance programs and appropriately house our other support programs to help put families in our community on a path out of poverty.

Our Organization and Our Strength

Feeding GA Families is a 501(c)3 state licensed non-profit food pantry and community services agency aimed at combating food insecurity in our communities with the assistance of farmers, food banks, grocery stores, small businesses, corporate donors and sponsorships, and volunteers. Founded in 2010, FGF has expanded from a mother-daughter team feeding the homeless 40 meals at a time to a bustling operation, distributing almost 900,000 pounds in 2021.

While FGF’s work is complementary to many agencies fighting food insecurity, there are a number of ways we have differentiated ourselves to better serve our community. (See photos to read more).
