Find Kevin Ahern and Help His Victim Heal

Caitlin Shores is a 27 year old survivor of child rape. When she was fourteen years old a man by the name of Kevin Ahern approached her and groomed her online, he took her to his Hidden Hills home twice and proceeded to sexually assault her. That was in the year of 2011.

Later on when Caitlin was 18 she was forced to confront her trauma and not keep it a secret any longer. She decided on her own to report what happened to her even though that statute of limitations was coming to an end. This was the year of 2015.

After an investigation and prolonged court proceeding, finally trial commenced in mid-2018. Kevin Ahern was found guilty on 7 counts of sexual crimes. There was only one problem though:

The perpetrator, Kevin Ahern, absconded. He was missing, nowhere to be found.

After years of Caitlin trusting law enforcement and the courts she was recently told by the DAs office that her case has been closed. There were no investigators checking for his whereabouts like she was once previously told.

Caitlin only has 2 goals for this GoFundMe. The first goal is to find Kevin Ahern. Since the case is closed, Caitlin will be making an effort to launch an independent investigation into his whereabouts. The second goal is to help Caitlin with the continued healing process. This would mean if there any funds leftover from conducting a successful investigation, they will be used for therapy appointments and help for Caitlin to continue sharing her story to other survivors.
