Finding hope for Brian Rose

Donation protected
The TRUTH can be harsh....But the truth needs to be told.

Keeping this a secret will not stop the madness.

On September 29, 2018, our dear friend, Brian Rose, had an accidental overdose of heroin.  He was admitted to Samaritan Hospital where he was put on life support and was stabilized. His overdose caused severe neurological damage. He was transported to Albany Medical Center where he has been taken off of his life support and is breathing on his own, but has not regained consciousness.  Brian's dad has been consulting with the Doctors and has developed a plan to give Brian a fighting chance to possibly regain some of his cognitive ability.  While this may be against the odds, it is the right thing to do.  Especially when making a decision of this magnitude for your son.  Brian will be given a period of time to let his brain heal at which time additional tests will be given to determine if any progress has been made.

The tests that need to be performed are not covered by his insurance and are very expensive. The MRI test will cost approximately $12,000. However, this test is definitive and will be able to determine if progress is possible.  Brian's family cannot afford the cost of these tests on their own. Can you please help?

Heroin has become a scourge on our society and it is affecting EVERYONE.  I have known 6 individuals over the past few years that have fallen victim to this insidious drug.  These are real people with families that loved them. They were not junkies.....they were daughters, sons, brothers and fathers, friends to many, many who could not help them.  They were not disposable people.  They are a reflection of society and we cannot turn our backs on them.

I am asking for your help to give Brian a chance.  Please help so that his family can find peace knowing they are giving him everything they can to survive. I know this is a large amount of money to raise, but it is possible. New discoveries are being made everyday in brain research and what they are finding is, what they thought were irreversible injuries, may not be the case in every instance.

Please share this with as many people as you possibly can.
