Finish creating a museum for the Miami Nation of Indiana

Tax deductible
The Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana is a Native American Tribe who had its federal recognition illegally removed by the State of Indiana in 1898. Because of this, we have been a not for profit since the 1930s with the mission of preserving, promoting, and sharing the history and culture of the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana and continuing to fight to regain our stolen federal recognition.

We have been award a matching grant from the Miami County Community Foundation for $12,500 to complete our Tribal museum we began a few years back and have one of three rooms completed. If we can raise $12,500 to match the grant, we will be able to complete the two remaining rooms and open the entire museum to the public! It will be one of the few if not the only Native American owned and operated museums in the State of Indiana! The museum will allow us to share our culture and traditions with all people, will help us preserve and record our history and historical artifacts, and help create funding to allow the museum and the Tribe to continue our mission of preserving, promoting, sharing our history and culture wiht all peoples and continuing to fight to regain our stolen Federal recognition.
