Finish my album, "Starseed"

Dear Friends,
Many of you know me from Sarasota, FL. Some of you attended "Authentic Voicework" workshops or saw me perform early music, world, The Resonance Project, etc.
In 2019, I went through a painful divorce and a painful separation from my music partner. We uprooted from Florida, where we'd been for 17 years, and moved back to Bloomington, Indiana, to continue co-parenting our son, separately. Bloomington is home to a different musical past for me, 25 years ago when I sang with the a cappella group, "VIDA" for seven years. I started the transition to Bloomington with a bang. I started performing. Started recording an album. I even traveled to Sweden and led a week-long Authentic Voicework retreat.
Then, the pandemic hit, and everything stopped.
I've been in this creative limbo for nearly three years - not quite launched, not quite landed. Neither here nor there. A few new music partnerships. Not much networking or playing with other musicians in a pandemic.
So, during the pandemic, I worked in the studio with the brilliant Dave Weber of AirTime Studios in Bloomington, IN. In some ways, recording songs and sharing it with the world (or performing) it's like verification or validation that your creative self exists. Without performance, it's like not having a voice at all. People see you, but they don't really know who you are or what you are about, or the magic within you.
I had a great contract marketing job that paid all the bills (as well as studio time) for a while, but it's been tough finding work lately. So I got my massage license again and have been doing that.
With that said, I'm starting a crowd fundraiser to finish my album "Starseed." I need approximately 20 hours in the studio, mastering, and the time required to work on writing, music, and lyrics. About one-to-two weeks of dedicated focus time are needed to accomplish this.
Here's an approximate budget:
$1000 20-hrs studio
$500 Mastering 10-songs
$2000 Living expenses
$1000 Other expenses (pay other musicians, marketing, distribution expenses)
--------------------------
$5,000
There is some incredible talent on several songs, including Tom Clark, Julian Douglas, Steve Mascari, Joanna Hyde and Dave Weber. I feel very lucky and super grateful to collaborate with such wonderful musicians.
I have yet to write the title track song, which the album is named after. But I know that is coming - last, but not least. It is an album that will help launch my re-entry into music, and say "Hey! it's been a while, but here I am!" to the world that once knew me as a musician. And to know that part of me is still here.
Take a listen here for a preview of a track, a 13th-century Spanish Cantiga 180: Vélla e Minya, Madr' e Donzéla (maiden-mother-crone).
Thank you for your support!
