On Sunday January 26th, Officer John Finke of the Birmingham Police Department was shot and injured while responding to a robbery in progress call.

John was working extra duty for a local church--an assignment he has faithfully worked for eight years‐-when he bravely ran TOWARDS the danger!

Many people will never know the sacrifices police officers make to provide for their families.  John's loss of extra income during his long road to recovery can have a devastating impact.
