Finlay's campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support

My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly a year ago towards the end of 2019. It has been extremely challenging, yet somehow we have pushed through this tough time. My mum decided to shave off her hair in the first few months of 2020 during her chemotherapy treatment, but has grown back a reasonable amount since. I am hoping to shave off my hair, despite what my friends and family want or think, in order to hopefully raise some money. Breast cancer has affected my whole family and friends. By doing what I’m going to do hopefully will help towards a greater cause, of helping people fighting breast cancer. It is not just the disease itself that is an enormous challenge, but the long-term affects on the inflicted and also the people around it.
