Finn Lyon's ICU visit

Hi, my name is Laura and my family and I recently adopted a 6-month-old rescue golden retriever named Finn. Two days into fostering him, he ate steak bones and moldy compost from a neighbour's compost bin. This event sent our poor Finn into the ICU for a week where he was on many medications for pneumonia and toxins. He spiked a high fever which resulted in tremors as well. Although we are still in the fostering stage of our adoption, the rescue organization is unwilling to help us with the $10 000 vet bill that accumulated over this past week. Because we were asked to bring Finn into our family urgently, we could not set up insurance in time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
