Finn's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On January 13 my brother Tyler and his wife Tiffany welcomed their second son into the world, Finn. Although looking handsome and healthy, Finn was born with aortic stenosis, issues with his aortic arch, and some other big medical terms that no parents should ever hear.
Yesterday, 2/3/20, Finn under went his THIRD open heart surgery since he has been born, a feat that I’m still trying to fully wrap my head around. As of now he is hopefully done with surgeries and can begin the long road to recovery and finally begin his life.
This summer Tyler and his family moved to North Carolina to have a better quality of life for their new family of 4. We have been working it out as a family to be there and help as much as possible, especially with 7 year old Chance who is not allowed into the hospital room because of his age. Still the distance and time needed for Finn to recover is going to be lengthy and costly. There are many medications, therapy sessions, and follow up doctors visits to come. They will have to find the balance of returning to work, keeping Chance going in school and be a normal 7 year old, while still making many trips back and forth to the hospital over an hour drive each way to see Finn’s amazing team of doctors and nurses.
So I am asking for help for them because I know they wouldn’t ask for themselves. Tyler has already exhausted all paid time off and Tiffany will need help taking care of Chance and Finn while he recovers. This is a position we never thought we would be in and no parents should have to go through. Any donation or even just spreading the word is very greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read and for keeping Finn and our family in your prayers....
