Fire at The Drunken Mullet

On the evening of January 6th, 2024, The Drunken Mullet experienced an electrical fire in its detached office while the restaurant was operating.

The staff swiftly and safely evacuated all patrons, ensuring no one was injured.  

Hernando County Fire Rescue was on scene within minutes and quickly had the fire under control. 

Unfortunately, the significant damage from the fire means The Drunken Mullet will remain closed for an indeterminate period. 

The community's concern and willingness to help have been overwhelming, with many reaching out to the staff.
