Fire Chief Chris L. Moore

Is with great sorrow that Coffee City Fire along with Berryville Department announces the passing of Fire Chief Chris L. Moore. Born September 8, 1964 to January 6, 2024. Chief Moore had a long history with the fire service. Chief Moore served at Southlake Fire Department in Southlake TX, Westside Volunteer Fire Department in Chandler TX then in February of 2008 became the Fire Chief at Coffee City/Berryville Volunteer Fire Departments. Serving 16 years as Chief at Coffee City.

Chief Moore is a former President of the Henderson County Fire Chief Association, he held office with the North Texas Fireman’s and Fire Marshal Association, East Texas Medical Center EMS, along with other agencies.

Chief Moore also was active-duty Army for approximately 15 years before being medically discharged from the service.

Chief Moore mentored and inspired many firefighters in his career and will greatly be missed. Rest easy Chief we have the watch from here.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thier son a Captian for the department died November of 2022. This is a tragic loss not only for the department but his family.
