Denton Downtown Mini Mall Fire

This page has been updated.
On Tuesday, December 26, 2017 (the day after Christmas) my family's business, the Downtown Mini Mall was completely engulfed in a 4-alarm fire that destroyed the 100 year old historic building and its contents beyond restoration. I am so thankful that there were no injuries and no fatalities, as the fire department got it under control before it engulfed the entire block. I am asking for help in funding the recovery of my father’s lifetime of work, as this was the main source of our family's livelihood and his legacy. The insurance coverage is nowhere near enough to cover the loss incurred to the historical structure or its contents. The store housed 50+ dealers who have all lost their livlihoods. We set-up a Go Fund Me page for the 50+ dealers who lost their merchandise (some of which did not have insurance at all). The link to that page is below. I am grateful for everyone that has contacted us with concern. Thank you to anyone that can make a contribution. All contributions are being directed to the Downtown Mini Mall.

I was too emotional yesterday to set-up a GoFundMe page, so I also made changes to the text. I apologize for not being clear on what we need the money for and how it will be directed. I just wasn't thinking clearly, so tonight I made some changes to the page. I lowered our goal because it is such an intimidating number. There are costs to clean-up (which we may get help with), to rebuild the structure of this historical building (inside and out), for recovery of lost merchandise, and the loss of income all around during this time. It's honestly too immense to conceive of. The goal is just that, only a goal. Whatever we reach will be put to good use and appreciated.
Note: There are also other GoFundMe pages created by the Young Professionals and the Main Street Association that are legitimate and trying to raise money for all of the businesses effected.
Note2: Sharing this page is also very helpful to the cause. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing can be just as good.
