Fire claims wife and house of Vince Tanner
Donation protected
At 4:30 AM February 7, 2020 Vince and Shelly Tanner's home in Harrison, Georgia caught fire with them and their 15 year old son inside. Vince and their son made it out with burns and smoke injuries, but Shelly perished. The house was a total loss.
Vince and his son both are hospitalized and will need to pay medical bills, funeral expenses and to completely rebuild.
While it is too soon to know what expenses will be, they will be substantial. This is a "start your life over" event.
Expenses have already begun, and funding will be needed immediately.
Vince is a Georgia DOT Bridge Inspector and has spent his career in the service of the traveling public. He has worked during all types of weather including floods and hurricanes. He has been on call 24/7 and made many late night treks to bridges due to traffic accidents. With this incident comes the opportunity for us to repay some of the service Vince has given to his fellow travelers.
