Fire Damage at Derwent Valley Railway

Donation protected
Derwent Valley Railway (DVR) is a small volunteer-run organization based in New Norfolk, Tasmania.
The DVR volunteers give their time and expertise to restore and maintain rail stock and yard, with the intention of raising funds to retore a rail-based tourism offering in the Derwent Valley.
Sadly last night, just a week before Christmas, the Railway was the victim of a deliberately lit fire, which completed destroyed a shipping container. This container had recently been painted and fitted out as a break room and lunch area for volunteers, as well as storage for a variety of items. Furniture and equipment was lost, and the container itself is buckled beyond repair.
Volunteers are devastated, and a great deal of time and money has been lost with the destruction of this asset.
Please donate, and help keep this little railway on track.
