Fire Dept. Rescue Hasslefluff's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Around 1pm on October 29th my sister smelled a bit of wood smoke while outside her home in Bellevue WA. After took a quick look around without seeing anything she did what we all would this time of year and assumed it was just a neighbor's fireplace, and went back inside to her husband and two children. It wasn't until 45 minutes later that her oldest son saw fire up by the back living room windows. He told his Dad and everyone got out of the house, but smoke filled the house incredibly fast once the back windows shattered, and while they tried to go back in for their pets they were not able to.
When the fire department came there was fire on the roof and smoke pouring out of the attic. They lost 4 pets, and one cat is missing and presumed dead.
Luckily, fire fighters rescued David Hasslefluff from the fire. He was quickly put on oxygen by the paramedics, but had to be taken to emergency veterinary care and will require multiple days of expensive ICU care to ensure his safe return to my sister. This is very expensive treatment, and a difficult expense in the face of substantial burden of a lost house and displaced family. I would ask for your support and donations to help with the medical care of David Hasslefluff and the other pets rescued from the fire.
