Vera’s rebuilding fund

She:kon my sister Vera Jane Quissy aka Bela, lost her home today to a fire. She, her daughter and three grandchildren are now homeless. They had to flee the home without coats or boots, leaving behind all their personal possessions.

Vera built her home in 1990 on the Six Nations territory, her mortgage was paid off but she didn’t have any home insurance.

Vera raised her children, grandchildren, and many foster children in this home. Her door was always open to family and friends and anyone in need of a place to stay. She provided many meals and lent an ear to all who needed to be heard.

If you are able to any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. I set the goal with the hope that she may be able to purchase a mobile or modular home to be installed on her property to provide shelter and solace to her family.
