Fire destroyed our livelihood; business burned.

Hi,

We never thought we'd have to do this, but here we are.

I am pretty embarrassed to write about this, but we are desperate at the moment.

Our store, a mom-and-pop business, was burned down in a fire, and this was our primary source of livelihood; all of us, including my siblings, worked in our restaurant.

As immigrants from Afghanistan, we strived to work hard and earn our income the hard way. My father would always work double shifts and was never home on holidays because he always wanted to be there for his customers. However, with this unexpected fire, we have been out of work for a week now, and it will probably take months for us to be back to normal.

Any help would be appreciated; frankly, we are devastated. What matters most is no one was hurt, and that everyone got out safely.

We are already planning on rebuilding in hopes of opening back up to the community as soon as possible. A huge thank you to everyone in our wonderful community that has reached out and offered us their love and support.
