Sheila Bridger and Family
This past Tuesday evening, Sheila's family home on Middle Road in Victoria, B.C., caught on fire.
Early Wednesday morning around 5:00 a.m., Sheila showed up at my door in her pajamas. I soon learned about the devastating fire that had tore through her home.. Causing significant damage.
She had No Home, No Clothes and No Shoes. She was absolutely exhausted and shaking from the shock of it all.
Sheila has raised her twin Grandsons, ( one with Congenital Heart Disease who has had 3 open heart surgeries), and is the prime caregiver to her terminally ill husband, Bill....who in 2014, underwent a quad triple heart bypass, suffering a stroke, which left him legally blind. Being the Trooper that she is, Sheila just kept marching forward, doing whatever she could to ensure a happy environment for her family members.
The impact that the fire has had on this family is devastating. Life as they knew it, just turned on a dime. The family at present are separated, with each person staying in different places. The comfort and security of their three bedroom home is now totally destroyed. No longer fit to live in.
While trying to navigate through the maze, it is taking it's toll on Sheila's health, which is already compromised by Fibromyalgia. A disorder that affects the muscles with symptoms of chronic pain, fatigue and sleep problems. The overwhelming stress of the displacement of the family is tremendous. Her husbands routine disrupted, the twins life turned up side down, and Sheila's health is paying the price of this devastating fire.
Sheila is a Wonderful Lady who has always cared and supported others in their time of need. Now she herself and her family are in need for care and support. Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness.
