Quinta de Louredo: Help Our Family Rise from the Ashes
Donation protected
September 17, 2024 – the day our world collapsed.
After losing my father – a friend, a mentor, the visionary behind this entire project that brought so many smiles – life has dealt us an even bigger challenge: starting over from scratch. We must rebuild what, just a week ago, was seen by many as a paradise, a place of healing and light, a farm full of opportunities and dreams...
"I’m sorry I let this happen. I’m sorry, Dad.
Losing you so early, and in such a cruel way, was never part of the plan. Keeping your legacy alive without you here is hard. I miss you, today more than ever. You would know what to do. But I still have strength! I still believe we can turn the farm into the garden you always dreamed of."
Our family truly needs help.
90% of our income has disappeared. Nearly 6 hectares of vineyards were destroyed by these devastating fires – our main source of income. All our greenhouses (6600 m2), irrigation systems, doors, and windows were lost. Our electrical system melted. The orchards, fruit trees, and fields – gone.
In just a few long minutes, everything changed.
A blackened world, thick with smoke, and a future that feels uncertain. Our entire harvest is gone, and the survival of our wine brand is now at risk...
There’s so much to say, but words can’t fully describe it.
What remains?
We saved the houses – our home. Our daughters. And our determination to rebuild what we believe in. This project cannot end like this. Not in a world where we believe in love, hope, and second chances.
The losses amount to more than 400 thousand euros, and the numbers keep rising. Now, for all the worst reasons, we have an opportunity to reinvent ourselves – to rebuild our lives, our farm, and our dream in a more sustainable, collective way. But we cannot do it alone.
My wife, my daughters, and I – we won’t give up. We can’t give up. Not for us, nor for our friends and family, and especially not for my father. The father I lost far too soon. He was only 56, with so many dreams for the future. I want to make sure that all our efforts, our sacrifices, and his legacy were not in vain.

With love,
