Fire recovery at Country Moments in Navan

In less than 48 hours we have been absolutely blow away by the generosity of this city and our community. As any one with a small service based business knows, losing the ability to operate just before the holiday season, in these times especially, is devastating. These donations are going to help Amanda to get through these next few months and set up a new temporary location! Her determination to keep going is inspiring. She has expressed so much humble gratitude for the outpouring of support.

As we write this, we are heartbroken for our dear friend and the absolute most incredible small business owner Amanda Watson, currently the beloved spa that she has poured her heart and soul into is on fire!

The historical house in the village of Navan sits as a prominent feature of our village and she has kept it gleaming for over a decade! It’s the heart of our town.

We don’t know much right now other than she will have a long road ahead! I along with her friends start this off to get raising funds so that Amanda knows we are with her and behind her as she goes through these next few weeks.

If you don’t know Amanda, let me just start by saying she is the most considerate, gracious, warmhearted soul, and if you do know her, you know!

She has always done anything she can for every person that has ever needed anything. Her initiatives have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for local non for profits and most recently she used her wide spread reach in the small business world to raise over 25,000 dollars for the farmers in Navan after the storm in 2022. She has always valued the passionate small business owners and encouraged hundreds by establishing and creating the largest outdoor market in Ottawa.
