Fire Recovery for Diane and Gracie
On October 9, 2017 our home in the Coffey Park neighborhood in Santa Rosa, CA was destroyed in the devastating Tubbs fire. We evacuated at 2:00 am and left with nothing. Our house and our entire neighbor hood was destroyed. There is nothing left of our home. We are safe with family but will need to rebuild our lives.
I grew up in Petaluma, CA and have been an elementary school teacher for almost 20 years in Santa Rosa. Sonoma County has been my home for most of my life. We are active in our school and church communities and our hearts are broken that this tragedy is happening in our beautiful county.
Gracie is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. She loves to swim, draw and sing. She is usually the one doing small acts of compasion for others, but now must learn to accept those gifts from others.
I have decided to set up a Go Fund Me because I have many friends with relatives outside of the area telling family and friends that they want to help. Any money raised here would be used to replace needed household items such as beds, bedding, towels, clothing, dishes, pots and pans, furniture and books and toys.
Anything you can give would be accepted with heartfelt gratitude and thanksgiving. We are deeply moved by your generosity.
