Fire Recovery for Heather and Kailynn

Nothing will humble you faster than life reminding you of what you could lose.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We’re reaching out today because our family is facing a challenging time. On the afternoon of March 31st, a fire broke out in our kitchen while Heather and Kailynn were at home just about to leave for work. Thankfully, they were able to control the fire and prevent it from spreading, avoiding what could have been a much more devastating situation. Not only did they save our home, but they also kept our pets safe. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out unharmed, the fire started in an unused outlet, causing damage to the wall cabinets and surrounding area. The result is the loss of most of our dishes, pots, and appliances situated near the fire.

This unfortunate event comes at a particularly difficult time for our family. Last September, Kailynn had a serious equestrian accident, and we’ve been using our savings and extras to cover her medical expenses incurred during the accident. Between hospital bills and doctor’s fees, we’ve been stretched thin financially. Now, with the additional burden of repairs and replacing essential items, we find ourselves in need of support.
