Fire Recovery for the O'Briens
Donation protected
We are banding together to help the O'Brien family during their time of need.
At 1:40am on the 21st of July, Susanne, Chris, Lucius (8), and Cassius (3) woke up to all fire alarms going off in their home. It turns out an unplugged 40v Ryobi battery in their basement exploded and caught fire. Chris suffered some burns trying to put out the fire but it was too hot and the smoke was already too much. Thank goodness they are all safe and that they managed to all get out and call for help! The inside of the house is destroyed and not safe at all right now.
The O'Briens are long-time community members and are some of the kindest, most welcoming, and generous people I have ever met. Their children are close friends with our two children, and we wanted to pull together as a community to support them in their time of need, just as they would do for any of us.
They would never ask for help, but we need to band together to support them now, however we can. Even though we cannot replace what they have lost, financial support during this time of struggle will help them in so many ways.
The family is likely in need of immediate financial support to serve the purpose of:
funds for temporary or long long-term housing, depending on the time that their home is not habitable
clothing, food, diapers
toiletries
school supplies
other living expenses while they cannot live in their home
They are also very grateful for prayer and healing energy; so please support them in any way you can. Susanne and Chris have always been generous with their homes and heart, and I hope we can pull together and share with them in return during their time of immense need.
Warmly & with gratitude,
Regina
