Fire Recovery Fund for Martha and Angelo

Hi, most of you were present or know about Sunday night's house fire at Martha and Angelo's house. We learned yesterday the fire was started by an overheated power strip in Angelo's room. The damages are extensive.  

We have just learned that poor Angelo passed away due to his serious burns and condition.

 

Martha will be navigating a tough course over the weeks to come and will assuredly encounter unexpected expenses, perhaps for medical care, housing and other needs.

 

They have been wonderful neighbors who have lived on our block for many years. Martha's mom Mary lived in that house before they moved in. Several of you have offered help in any way needed.

We thought we would start this fund as a show of neighborly love and support for Martha and her family as they move forward without their beloved.
