Donations for Lindseys' fire related illness
Donation protected
Hello. Thank you for your interest in this fundraiser to benefit parish family members, Carlena and Jay. In April, a fire originally several miles away from their property became a wildfire. The Lindseys watched in horror as high wind induced a fire tornado which ignited the roof of their log home and consumed everything down to the foundation. The featured photo is Jay, standing in what represents a mere skeleton of their former home. The couple feels truly blessed that their horses, barn cats and 2 out buildings were saved, but the loss of everything in the home has been overwhelming.
Jay Lindsey is a 78 year old Vietnam veteran and his wife Carlena is a 66 year old floral designer. What should have been peaceful retirement in their beautiful "forever" home that they largely built themselves has now become the prospect of bleak and painstaking rebuilding, although some items destroyed are irreplaceable. They have home insurance coverage and immediate food, clothing, and lodging; however, they do not have part B Medicare, and have suffered health consequences due to the fire.
We hope this small effort to offer support and recovery throughout this tragedy will be fruitful. Thank you in advance for anything you can spare for this family.
