Dec Fire Lost Everything Surgery Shattered Ankle$

On Dec 16 Me and my family woke up to smoke everywhere and we are on top floor there’s no working smoke detectors No emergency fire exits We found out The fire was coming from the apt under us My apartment is B1- Apt 7 The fire started in B1-Apt 3 . It’s Me Anthony Gardner , fiancé Angel henderhan , our 4 yo son Malakai Gardner , Angels disabled grandfather Mark Huff We take care of & Angel has legal care responsibility over Mark huff Is who resides in the the apt full time . At the time of the fire Angels mother Racheal and brother Jordan Had spent the night before To help setup for Christmas etc , We got up at 2pm Barely able to breathe black smoke being pulled in from fan in window Nobody Knocked on our door Smoke alarm didn’t work My finance went to go find our son And to get everyone up and out ASAP grab wat we needed I went to window The fire was half way up the bricks Coming from apt 3 under us , I grabbed my phone and wallet Went to other window showing parking lot We all went to front door to exit out The upstairs Hallway was pitch black with smoke The bottom level was scorching With fire We found our way back inside apt Went to the living room window Hollered for help There was over 15 people standing there Recording with there phones Continue to holler for help ppl saying jump Were on top floor least 17ft high One guy ran up said drop your son I got him Angel tossed our son out window to him He was caught by the guy They went to safety Angel went out the window Landed awkward Hurting her feet and stomach , Her brother Jordan went next He landed with no serious injuries I was getting light headed and dizzy When I started heading out the window I remember nothing from jumping I came too when I hit the ground My right arm had several deep Abrasions and big bruises Think I smacked my face on ground nose was hurting I notice I couldn’t walk and pulled my pants leg up my knee was like backwards And ankle side ways leg was dangling like Jello JeffPd pulled me to safety Angels mom and grandfather Was rescued from the apt after 28mins being inside , Ems Took me to uofL hospital where I got looked at Turns out I shattered my fibula bone in left leg shattered my ankle Broke my heel And damaged a artery in my left leg My foot wasn’t getting a pulse They decided To harvest a vein from my right thigh to save my left foot All this was on Dec 16th I’ve been here ever since it’s Dec 27 now My leg isn’t getting any better I can’t walk I can move my toes And now our landlord is wanting us to get rest our stuff Out Or it’s getting tossed He’s refusing to put us in a new apt My family has been at a hotel Since Dec 16 Has till Jan 3 We have nowhere to go no money We lost literally everything in this fire We paid $1010 for Dec rent And haven’t been there since Dec 16 because of the fire He’s not wanting to give any money back for the loss of days won’t return the $1400 deposit back Everytime I ask him about getting us in a new apt He doesn’t reply Like We’re just gonna be out on streets While I’m disabled And with a 4yo Im alrdy ln short term disability From a injury back in aug was due back to work on Feb 2024 now my whole left leg is shattered We don’t know how long I’m gonna be out now I’m the only source of income Currently at uofl Hospital Angel does have a go fund me up currently but I thought I’d make one for my family and friends to help out hopefully thank you everyone and god bless you all for helping us get through this tough time of finding a place clothing hygiene and medical bills that I know my work insurance won’t cover
