Fire Relief for Parkinson's Advocate Travis and Sarah
Donation protected
My name is Judy Yaras and I'm raising funds for my friend Travis Robinson, who, with his partner Sarah, lost their house yesterday, January 8th, in the Altadena fire in Los Angeles.
Travis was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 35 in 2014. At the time, he was a passionate mountaineer, photographer, and creative, working as a project manager in the IT field. As his Parkinson's progressed, he had to step away from his career in IT.
As someone with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD), Travis has made it his mission to inspire others through his personal story. He actively advocates for the Parkinson's community through organizations like Parkinson's Community Los Angeles (PCLA). Despite the challenges of the disease, Travis continues to climb mountains and create stunning photography. His Faces of Parkinson's project, which highlights the diverse faces of those affected by Parkinson's, has been showcased in galleries in Barcelona, Los Angeles, and across the U.S.
In addition to his advocacy work, Travis hosts the podcast I'm Not Dead Yet!, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, where he shares his journey and engages with others in the Parkinson's community. Through his art, storytelling, and advocacy, Travis remains a powerful source of inspiration for those facing similar challenges.
Travis and Sarah urgently need your help to rebuild their lives after losing their home in the fire. Your donation will help with items and living expenses that are not covered by insurance or FEMA assistance. This includes essential needs such as clothing, toiletries, continued access to Parkinson's medication, medical supplies, temporary housing costs, and any potential gaps on the road to re-establishing permanent housing.
