Fire Smoke Damaged House Family with 6 kids
Spende geschützt
Two days ago we got a call from our neighbor who said they saw smoke coming from our house! We rushed home to see smoke billowing out of our house with our poor dog and pet snake locked inside. Luckily all 6 of our kids were at school. We got home and opened our front door to find our poor pup passed out seemingly lifeless. We drug her out and our amazing neighbor who is also a vet tech rushed home from work knowing we had a dog inside and rushed her to the hospital and was able to save her life! The snake was saved by a closed door that prevented most damage or smoke! The fire trucks got there right after us but unfortunately our house is unlivable, the fire was mostly contained to the kitchen where it started. But it was so bad it damaged most of our living room and everything is covered in soot and smells of smoke. We are thankful no one was home or hurt and that our dog and snake will be ok. We are heartbroken and lost right now but we will figure this out together. Prayers, good vibes, and all the help is needed right now for our family.
Insurance will fix our home, it will just be a long process, months they say. Family have opened their home to our large family. It’s tight but we are thankful for a place to rest and recover.
Many friends and family have asked how they could help and if a donation platform was set up. Right now all we need is to be able to replace our clothes and everyday items like toiletries and some extra bedding. Maybe a couple toys for the kids or coloring books but space is very limited. We have a young adult leaving for the Navy next month-Hunter 18, Alex 13, Evan 11, Lexi 8, Lucy 5, Charlotte 2. We also planned on making a cute pumpkin announcement this weekend to announce that we are expecting another baby to add to our patch.
These next few months were supposed to be exciting and filled with fun holidays and good food and planning for our new baby to be here in April. Instead we will be rebuilding our home and life. In the months to come we may need help restocking our house, all food is ruined, all kitchen utensils, some furniture, couches, mattresses, toys, and more. Insurance will replace the big stuff we believe. For now any help for clothes and necessities is greatly appreciated. Any extra will be saved for when we can restock and rebuild our house.
We have a long road ahead finding what we can salvage, and making sure it is safe for us and kids to use and keep. Thank you guys for all the love and support toward our family. ❤️
