Fire Station Bunker Gear Dryer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jacob. I am a Life Scout with Troop 600 in Oak Ridge, NC. I am working on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and to do that I need to complete a project that benefits my community. I am planning to build a Bunker Gear Dryer for a local Fire Station. The benefit of this project is for fire and rescue workers to be able to dry their turn out gear faster and more efficiently. This will help reduce the exposure to cancer causing toxins that get on their gear when they are on a fire call. The BSA council has guided me to build 2 dryers so that the fire station will have the option to have 8 total drying racks. My goal is to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of the materials to build both dryers. Thank you for your consideration in donating to my project.
