Fire Takes the Samuelson Family Home

Ryan + Jennifer Samuelson, and their 4 precious children – Alex (16), Ryleigh (10), Charlotte (8) and Jake (5)- are loved, and adored members of this tight-knit community and are an integral part of the downtown landscape + athletic community in Celina, Tx.

Yesterday afternoon, August 9, their house in downtown Celina was struck by lightning, causing a large fire that destroyed their home and all of their belongings.

As if that wasn't enough, today is our small town's first day of school, and all of the kids' new back-to-school clothes were destroyed - everything except the new shoes they were wearing and the school supplies that had been left at the school at Meet the Teacher earlier this week.

Being the incredible tribe of humans they are, the kids all decided to STILL go to school today and showed up, ready to learn and excited to see their friends after a long, sleepless night. Even little Jakey who is just starting his first year of school in kindergarten at Celina Primary.

It will be a long road to rebuild, and many people have reached out, asking how they can help.
