Fire Truck Transport Expense

Welcome and thank you for taking the time in reading about our story. Our organization Plume Inc. dba Alpha One Fire & Rescue was created in January of 2022 to start the first structural volunteer fire department on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. As of June 2022, we responded to our first call which was truly a milestone considering the Pine Ridge Reservation has never had a fire department. Recently, our department is expected to receive a donated fire truck from the Hampton FD in Hampton, NY. Our tribe/county is considered the poorest in the Nation which affects us overall. With dedication and commitment, we're doing everything we can to raise funding to get this incredible fire truck back to South Dakota so that it may serve one of the districts outside of our immediate coverage area. The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation spans 3,467 sq. miles or 2.1 million acres, you can fit New York City inside Pine Ridge 11.5x. As you can see, it is our priority to establish fire trucks in other communities that are outside of our immediate response area because time is critical. Your donation will go above and beyond to assist us which makes you our heroes!

Our department provides as much as it can, from structural to wildland fires, search and rescue to highway rescue, and pretty much anything in between that requires our assistance.
