Help Taylor Griep Heal & Keep Ritchie’s Smokin' BBQ Going Strong

Hi friends, family, and BBQ lovers—

We’re coming together to support an incredible woman, wife, mom, business owner, and all-around powerhouse: Taylor Griep, owner of Ritchie’s Smokin’ BBQ.

If you know Taylor, you already know she’s one of the kindest, hardest-working, most giving people you’ll ever meet. She pours her heart into everything she does—whether it's feeding the community one mouthwatering meal at a time, homeschooling her kids, or showing up for everyone around her. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

Taylor was diagnosed with endometriosis at just 13 years old—and over the years, she’s fought through constant pain, surgeries, and even had to undergo IVF to bring her beautiful youngest child into the world. At 34, her condition has reached a critical point. The pain is daily and debilitating—some days she can barely walk, is overwhelmed with nausea, and can hardly function. The disease has spread aggressively, attacking both inside and outside her reproductive organs.

Now, Taylor is facing a major, life-changing surgery: an extensive procedure to remove endometrial growths and a total hysterectomy—not just to ease her pain and protect her future, but also due to the recent discovery of uterine cancer.

What We Need Help With:

Taylor and her husband, Baron, are stepping away from their beloved restaurant, Ritchie’s Smokin’ BBQ, while she undergoes surgery, pain management, and physical therapy. Baron will also be out of work to care for Taylor and their two kids—a 13-year-old they homeschool and their 3-year-old little one—while she recovers over the next 5–6 weeks.

We’re raising funds to help with:

Covering business expenses while the restaurant is closed

Supporting Taylor’s medical recovery (pain management, physical therapy, etc.)

Covering living costs while Baron takes time off to care for her and their kids

Taylor gives everything she has to her family, her community, and her customers—and now she needs us.

If you’ve ever laughed with her at a BBQ, shared a meal she cooked, or just been touched by her generosity and spirit, please consider donating. Every dollar helps ease the burden on this amazing family during an incredibly difficult time.

Let’s rally around Taylor with the same love and loyalty she’s shown all of us.

With love and endless thanks,
The Griep Family & Friends of Ritchie’s Smokin’ BBQ
