Firefighter Jeremy McKay Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Engineer Paramedic Jeremy McKay was a 14 year veteran of the Clay County Fire Rescue department and a proud member of the Clay County Professional Firefighters Union Local 3362. Jeremy's last alarm sounded November 27th, 2019 after a just over a year long battle with cancer. Jeremy passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. As a firefighter, our chosen profession, we take an oath to protect life and property, and sometimes this comes with a terrible cost. Jeremy remained positive during his entire battle and cherished the time he had with his family. Jeremy and his wife requested that donation in kind and in lieu of flowers be made to the Professional Firefighters Local 3362 as we prepare to build a memorial in honor of Jeremy which will also accommodate any future Line of Duty Deaths in our department.
Jeremy is survived by his Wife Tanya, and three daughters Teagan (18), Adysen (12), and Everlyn (5). It is our desire as his Union Brotherhood to build a memorial in his honor as a peaceful place that friends and family can go to remember Jeremy.
