Firefighter Daniel Lyon

Daniel Lyon was burned over 65% of his body while working as a wildland firefighter in Twisp, Washington. He’s faced countless surgeries, multiple finger tip amputations, and still has a long road ahead in his recovery. Soon after being injured, the US Forest Service, his employer, terminated him and forced him to face his battles on his own. Workers compensation has been frustrating and stressful since seeking reimbursement for bills and treatment sometimes takes an extremely long time or simply does not happen.
