Firehouse Art Center Studio Renovation

Help me make a difference!

My Eagle Scout project is to help the Firehouse Art Center!

This project will take place at the Firehouse Art Center in Longmont in the 2nd floor studio / gallery.  We will replace/redo the floors, paint the walls, fix the ceiling, and add a sink and storage space to the room.  The project will give the Firehouse Arts Center a better studio space for their artists to work in, and allow them more space to showcase art as a gallery space.

Current Photos:
The 2nd floor space in the Firehouse Art Center is long overdue for a renovation.  Ceiling tiles are yellowed and falling apart, the flooring is coming up and is stained from years of paint.  The utility sink and storage area was at one time removed, and has been neglected.  Renovating this space through this project would greatly improve the usability and appeal of the room for visiting artists and the general public.


Scouts from my Troop and other volunteers will be at the Firehouse Arts Center to repair and replace this studio.  I would appreciate YOUR help to make that happen!

Funds raised will go to pay for materials on the project, including new ceiling tiles, LED lighting, new floor tiles, paint, a utility sink, and more.  Any excess funds will go to help the Firehouse Art Center.

More about Elliot:
Elliot is a senior at Longmont High School and the Troop Guide at Troop 64 Longmont.  He has been in Scouting since Cub Scouts, competing in Pinewood Derbies and going to camp.  He helps to lead the annual Longmont Scouts Turkey Turnout food drive and has backpacked twice over the Continental Divide with the Troop.  This Eagle Project is his last big effort to get to Eagle Scout.
