Fireweed Fund for Vulnerable Women and Children
My name is Dicle Sevim Sertkaya, you can check me out on twitter Here to get a better idea of who I am.
I am the founder and a Trustee of Fireweed. This is a Registered Charity to help women and children suffering from inequality, poverty, violence and discrimination. Fireweed's help enables vulnerable women and children to evolve and flourish away from misery and hardship.
We are a dedicated group of volunteers. We do not receive any payment whatsoever. All funds raised are used to improve lives wherever they are.
Above; A Fireweed meeting held in London prior to lockdown with women from all different backgrounds. Subject: Domestic Abuse and the psychological effect on women and children.
During lockdown, domestic abuse has rocketed to the highest level also affecting children. Together with our volunteer psychologists we have been running one to one online sessions to help women and children to cope with the anxiety, depression, phobias & trauma free of charge.
The earliest that the NHS could possibly help these vulnerable women and children would be 6-8 months. There are thousands of people in urgent need of our help. We're working round the clock to keep our services open and we desperately need funds to continue our good work. Your donation makes a real difference with the services we can provide now, and in the future.
I am calling upon the community, friends, and supporters to help me fundraise £2,000 that I can put towards helping vulnerable women and children in London, nationally and internationally.
Please help us to keep providing a lifeline to women and children that need it most by making a donation today:
£13 could cover the cost of a person attending a meeting/workshop.
£25 can provide educational toys and books for children.
£50 can provide a one to one psychotherapy counselling session.
£100 can provide support for a vulnerable person living alone.
£250 can provide a series of ongoing psychotherapy counselling sessions.
£500 could cover the cost of an event with professional mentors/speakers.
We have set up and registered Fireweed as a Charity (Reg No. 1187829).
100% of all funds will be used to improve lives by the Fireweed Charity.
We are a dedicated group of volunteers working for Fireweed, we do not receive any payment whatsoever.
Any funds raised above our target will be used to improve lives wherever they are.
Together we can keep women and children safe. Please donate:
