First aid kit with essential medicines for the community

Hi! It is Javier Mejía, co-founder of Killari For Peru (www.killariforperu.org).
My life story reflects effort and responsibility. But in short, I want to tell you I got a place at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, to study a master's degree in Globalization and Development. With the knowledge acquired, I returned to Peru with the purpose of positively transforming people's lives, especially in poor areas. That is why I started a non-profit organization (legal registration in process).
As for this particular crowdfunding campaign, it comes to mind after traveling by bus on a really cold day in Lima, Peru. It was foggy, especially in the higher areas of the city, where most of the low-income families live. So I could imagine how difficult it is to face winter for this population. That is why I propose this project: first aid for low-income families.
We already have given support to a low-income community in Lima, Peru. Its name is "Rafael Chacon", which is located in Villa Maria del Triunfo, a disadvantage district of Lima.
While we cannot prevent people from getting sick, we can ensure that they have access to medicines free of charge and quickly. This will ensure that there are no major complications in people's health. That is, that a harmless respiratory illness becomes a life-threatening one.
The main result we will achieve in the community is that for the first time they will have access to medicines to take care of their health. This currently does not happen, because the public health system does not cater to patients and provide them with a prescription and medicines. The waiting time for free care can take months.
So the needed budget for this project is 260 euros.
With that money we will buy:
- Paracetamol (pill): 500 units
- Ibuprofen (pill): 500
- Antihistamines (pill): 500
- Decongestants (pill): 500
These stocks will be very useful during the winter season (3 months).
The Killari team and I will oversee the proper delivery of the medicines in coordination with community leaders. You can follow the project implementation in www.killariforPeru.org
Any donation is welcome! Together we can beat the cold and bring hope and light to the poorest!
