The First Church Choir of First Congregational Church, Columbus, Ohio, USA, has received the distinct honor to be a Choir-in-Residence August 1st through August 7th at Winchester Cathedral in England. Winchester Cathedral has been a place of worship and welcome for over 900 years since its consecration in 1093AD.
A choral residency is an opportunity to participate in the daily life of an English Cathedral. As the Choir-in-Residence, the First Church Choir will lead daily worship services at the cathedral--Evensong, Matins and Sung Eucharist. This tradition is at the core of our choir’s music ministry.
