First Home for Fredica and Family

Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm fundraising for my dear friend, Fredica, and her amazing family, as they are moving into their very first home of their own!

Fredica and I met in 2010 when I became a Big Sister to her son, DJ, through Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Over the last 13 years, I have been privileged to call Fredica my friend and to support all her children grow up. Fredica is the strongest, loving, most resilient woman I've ever met and she has taught me so many life lessons that there is no way I can repay her for how she has made me a better human.

Fredica has selflessly given of herself over the years to create a life for her children that helps break the cycle of poverty. She works tirelessly to be self-sufficient and to progress her housing into safer and safer neighborhoods. Her children are thriving as a result and she is determined to keep them progressing towards greater things.

In August, Fredica will be moving into a house that will finally be her permanent home. For the first time in her life, she will not have to worry about a landlord deciding to sell and asking her to move out on short notice. She will not have to worry about violence in her neighborhood. She will be at peace, and so will her children and grandchildren.

To facilitate this big step, Fredica does need help with moving expenses and furniture for the house. If you have it in your heart to spare anything, I would be so grateful. You would be contributing to a family's launching pad to stability, safety and peace. All which will be foundational to the great things they are ready to achieve.
