First Responder House Fire

On the evening of January 3rd, EMT Andrew Woolum was serving the citizens of Madison County on his regular full-time shift day just as he has done so for the past several years. The evening seemed like any other until a tone was dropped to standby with Richmond Fire Department on the scene of an active structure fire, the address given out was that of EMT Woolum. EMT Woolum and his shift partner responded to the scene which was very active with heavy smoke coming out of all the doors and windows. EMT Woolum was able to locate his wife who had safely escaped the residence. Their home suffered significant damage and they have lost the majority of their belongings to it. We hope to raise funds to assist them during this difficult time and help them begin rebuilding.
