First Robotics World Championship Adventure

My name is January Sellers and my Robotics partner is Q Nunnery. We have a rookie robotics team that competed for the first time in mid-March. We did not have any expectations for our first year, but we have a hard-working, dedicated team of young adults. They were put to the test at the competition, and overcame many obstacles, all the while being gracious and helping other teams when needed. This caught the attention of the judges and won them the award of Rookie All Stars. Along with this award, we received a wild card bid to the First Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas, April 17-20.

Here is where you come in. As you can imagine, we did not plan on an additional week-long trip to Texas. We come to you now to raise the funds to send our hard-working teammates to Texas. Every little bit helps, so we thank you!

Below is a breakdown of how the funds will be used:

Competition Entry Fee: $5750 (due- April 9th)

Lodging: $6000 (due upon check out)

Transportation: $2000 (deposit due now, gas on trip)

Food: $1600 (on trip)

T-shirts: $300 (pick up the week before trip)

Robot Parts/Repairs: $1200 (need ASAP)

Marketing Materials: $500 (need ASAP)
