First Round of Skin Removal

Have you ever woken up one day and thought, “I don’t think I’m going to make it to my 40th birthday..” cus I have. And let me tell you, it was scary and it sucked.

For as long as I can remember I have been over weight.. like was told I was as big as the ice berg that sunk the Titanic (yup, kids are cruel). But I never tried to let it get me down or allow my weight to not let me be me.

When the pandemic hit, things changed.. Mt. Dew, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell were my main sources of food and drink and I gained a significant amount of weight… to the point I was thinking how I wasn’t going to make it to my 40th birthday if I didn’t do something. I topped the scales at 365 pounds, trapped and backed into a corner.

The day I had thought I wouldn’t make it 7 more years, I reached out to a Bariatric Surgery Center and got scheduled for Vertical Sleeve. Once I was scheduled, I never looked back. I immediately began my pre-op diet and by the time surgery rolled around I had lost 55 pounds.

Since my surgery (April 2021), I’ve lost an additional 120+ pounds, and began working my booty off in the gym 4-6 days a week one month post-op.

With all this work and dedication, comes the inevitable… excess skin due to massive weight loss.

Now I find myself trapped once more… this time by an overwhelming amount of excess skin.

My only option is to have the skin surgically removed. I am looking into personal finance options and taking out loans, however, this surgery is a huge financial undertaking.

Anyone who knows me understands that asking for help is not something I do.

But here I am, asking for help.

This has been an incredible transformation journey, and I’d like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to read this and for considering to donate to my fundraiser. I wish I could put into words what this means to me. I’ve taken the steps to get healthy, and now I’m ready to finally live the life I’ve worked so hard for.
