Become Part Of The First ever built Serbian Orthodox Monastery of the Resurrection of Christ and currently the only existent Christian Orthodox Monastery in the Republic of Chile
The construction of the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of the Resurrection of Christ located in the 12th province of Aysen, Republic of Chile, was initiated in 2015.
It all started when the late Archimadrit Agapit Tairov, a Russian who came to Chile with his than novice brother, and today monk Jovan Tairov, was appointed to do this God-blessed work.
Today, the monastery has a small house with two monastic rooms, a kitchen, a salon, and a chapel. “Our plan is to build a cathedral dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, along with a monastic residence with cells, a dining room with a kitchen, and a guest house,” said the abbot of the monastery, father Nikita Vulich who was transferred to Chile from the monastery of Ostrog, Montenegro.
It is important to mention that this is the first Christian Orthodox monastery in this area of Chile and at the same time the southernmost Orthodox monastery in the whole world.
We ask our Orthodox brothers and sisters from the USA and all the Orthodox people (Serbians, Russians, Greeks, Georgians, Bulgarians, Americans,…) scattered across the American continent and the world to participate in the endowment and sponsorship of this shrine and that they be incorporated as founders and contributors so that this Orthodox Serbian shrine shines in its full splendor.
