First State Win in 22 Years: LHS Science Olympiad Needs You

Donation protected
For the first time in 22 years, Lexington High School has won the Massachusetts State Science Olympiad Tournament, and will be representing Massachusetts at the National Science Olympiad competition on May 24, 2025 at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln! We are a team of 20 students grades 9-12 and participate in Science Olympiad, an Olympic-style STEM competition with 23 events spanning many disciplines of science and engineering.

This year, the National Tournament will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska. Teams that attend nationals are responsible for their own fundraising to cover their costs (housing, meals, travel, building materials and shipping, etc). Throughout the season, much of these costs were self-funded. However, the cost of attending nationals is extremely high. Since our victory in March, our team has been focused on fundraising through bake sales, organizing and running our own online Science Olympiad tournament (called LexSO), and through donations from local businesses. We are reaching out to the Lexington community to gain monetary support of any kind to take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for your time. Any support is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
Daniel Saptari, Caroline Ehmann, Rahib Hyder, William Jung, & Stephanie Wan - Student Captains
