First Tech Challenge Rednock

Code Red is Rednock's first ever 'First Tech Challenge' team and we are looking for donations in order to upgrade and buy parts for our robot as well as to afford promotional material, such as banners and transport in order to compete in the 2024 into the deep challenge - competition trailer .

What Is It?

We have recently entered the national robotics competition, First Tech Challenge, and we are in the process of constructing a robot to compete in the 2025 competition! First Tech Challenge is a competition which inspires students to develop their engineering skills through creating a manual and autonomously controlled robot with the goal of collecting as many points (blocks) as possible within each competition; competing against different teams while simultaneously collaborating with them and sharing ideas.

The December Scrimmage:

We have just attended the second scrimmage, at Berkeley Green UTC, where we met other local competing teams and some of the organisers from RTX. A big part of the competition is teamwork and collaboration, not only domestically, within the school, but with other competing teams which was why the scrimmage was a great opportunity to seek help and to help other teams, which was really great as this is Rednock’s first year competing.

How Can You Help Us?

We have made great progress so far however part of the competition is crowdfunding and finding sponsors to support the team, in order to be able to afford additional parts for our robot and other things such as banners and transport. Donations and sponsors allow us to be able to develop our robot so we can do better in the competitions.
