Fischetti Family Emergency Fund

On January 4th, in the middle of a snowstorm, my sister-in-law Fran, a former nurse, recognized the symptoms of a heart attack in her husband Rich and drove him through the storm and to the hospital, where emergency quintuple bypass surgery saved his life. While we all breathed a sigh of relief after the successful surgery, Rich was not out of the woods yet.
Recovery Complications
Complications since that first surgery have kept Rich from a full recuperation and have kept Fran by his side 24/7. Both are self-employed and have not been able to work, and as they focus on getting Rich back to full health, the worries over paying their regular bills – and covering the mounting medical costs – are never far from their minds.
Why I care so much
Rich and Fran have raised two incredible children who are now young adults, and they have been actively involved in the lives of their many nieces and nephews. We are looking forward to sharing many more milestones with this couple in the years ahead!
Over the years our families have shared vacations and outdoor adventures, where Rich’s connection to nature and love of the outdoors is infectious. We can’t imagine these good times being sidelined!
Rich is an incredible craftsman; my home is full of his handiwork; many of us have more projects in store for him when he returns to full health!
Rich recently regaled Fran at her 60th birthday celebration with his renditions of several Sinatra classics; we all want to hear that voice for many years to come!
What you can do to help
Rich and Fran are a generous, loving couple and have always opened their home and hearts to their wide circle of family and friends.
If you are able to help them financially during this time, we will all be very grateful – a donation of any size will help and will be appreciated! Please help us spread the word by sharing this link on your Facebook Timeline.
Thank you!!!
