Fisher Family House Fire Relief

Tonight, our Neighbors Karen Fisher, her Son Tyler and his Fiancé Nikki suffered a devastating loss when their house on McAdoo Ave. was suddenly engulfed in flames.

The fire burned up quick and hot, and in a few short moments, the family house where she and her late husband, Albert, raised their three sons, and where Tyler and Nikki were to begin their lives as the new Mr. & Mrs. Fisher, suddenly became uninhabitable.

They were able to save themselves and one of the three cats that remained in the home. Unfortunately the other two didn’t make it out, and a majority-if not all- of their possessions were destroyed.

I adore these people and have come to think of them as family. My children are the same age as Karen’s Grandchildren and play together in the summer when they are out of school. She helps with my kids whenever she can and has become somewhat of a pseudo-grandma to them, and a great source of support for me. Tyler and Nikki are always ready with a smile and would drop everything to lend a hand when asked. They don’t make neighbors like them anymore and the entire neighborhood is absolutely devastated that this could happen to such kind people.

I am asking that we come together as a community to help carry some of their burden and donate, no matter how big or small, so that they can replace some of the things that they lost. No amount of money can ever replace the memories, sentiments, or cherished pets that were destroyed…but it can help take some of the crushing pressure off of them.
