“Fishing for Hope: Support the Bernard Family’s Fight”

Let’s support the incredible Bernard family, who have always been there for others with their kindness and generosity. Whether it's helping friends in need or opening their hearts to care for children, Adrian and Andrea have touched so many lives.

Adrian is facing the battle of a lifetime against Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The cancer has also spread to Adrian's liver and lymph nodes, and he will need chemotherapy to try and shrink the 15cm tumor before surgery can be considered. His treatment will take place between Katherine and Darwin, so he can stay close to his loved ones during this tough time.

We don’t know how long Adrian’s treatment will take or how much it will cost however contributing to their daily living and medical expenses, we can ease their financial burden and allow them to focus on what truly matters—Adrian’s health and their family’s well-being.

Adrian has been working at St Joseph’s Catholic College as the maintenance man, where his can-do attitude and willingness to help have made him a beloved member of the community. He’s also known for his quick wit and sense of humor, always ready with a joke to lift spirits. Outside of work, Adrian enjoys fishing and camping with friends, making the most of the great outdoors and creating cherished memories with his family.

Andrea stays home, caring for children while their parents make a living. Together, they are a strong and loving team, raising their children—Taylor, who shares Adrian’s love of fishing; Mitchell, who has a passion for horse riding; and Summer, who loves gymnastics - along with three foster children.
